For your convenient Cebu visit...
Cebu has an international airport: Mactan-Cebu International Airport (IATA: CEB; ICAO: RPVM). Passengers who do not live or do not have any business to go to Manila take a direct international flight to Cebu from many international departure points in the world.
Foreign visitors and Filipinos can take international flights directly flying to Cebu. Some of the daily direct flights (to and from) include the countries of South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong and other scheduled flights to Japan, Qatar, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia.
Besides the daily and other frequent flight schedules, Cebu also has various seasonal charter flights to Russia, the United States, China and more nations.
Just recently, Cebu Pacific has been considering flying to the European Union. The negotiations among other things are under study.
Among the frequent flyers and seasonal passengers, Mactan-Cebu International Airport is indispensable to move fast around the tropical island-dotted republic of the Philippines.
To move around the archipelago, passengers take domestic flights to and from Manila, Kalibo, Palawan (Puerto Princesa), Boracay, Clark (Angeles City), Siargao (in Surigao), Zamboanga City (Mindanao), Davao (Mindanao), Bacolod (Negros), Iloilo, Cayagan de Oro City (in Mindanao), Cotabato, Camiguin Island, General Santos, Tacloban, and more.
For a Cebu visit, passengers coming from North America, Middle East, Europe and all the rest can fly first to Incheon (South Korea), Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Doha (Qatar) or to any country that has a connecting flight for Cebu.
The connecting flights from such countries are not so frequent (every hour, for example), but it saves you from the noise and all in Manila.
However, if you are that adventurous, you may fly straight to Manila (Ninoy International Airport) to catch a faster connection to Cebu. Manila and Cebu have more than 20 flights daily with two flights every hour.
Other International Connecting Flight
Clark International Airport (near Angeles City) also offers flights to Mactan-Cebu International Airport. Clark offers discounted airline tickets going to Macau, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Singapore and other points of destination.
Philippine Travel Tax: 1,620 Pesos – for Filipino nationals and permanent residents

Entering and Departing Mactan-Cebu International Airport
From Mactan Island (Lapu-Lapu City), it takes around 30 minutes to get to Cebu City – the metropolitan of Cebu Province. The easiest way is to hire a (metered) taxi, especially when you want to move faster and has some luggage with you.
The alternative and cheap transportation means is by taking a jeepney (a local public utility transport) from Lapu-Lapu City, which is just a little complicated and slower mode of transport but popular among most commuters.
However, if you had booked a hotel in Mactan or any accommodation that has a free pick-up service then you are fine. Most of the hotels (especially the high-end ones) have free pick up service at the airport. The regular taxi fare to Cebu is within 150-200 Philippine peso currency.
Cebu Visit - Airport Facilities
Mactan-Cebu airport can provide your every needs. It has a shopping center, duty-free store, souvenir shops, coffee shops, banking facilities, car rentals, restaurants, hotel and resorts booking services, and other facilities that provide support for visitors who need reservations and other services.
A Jeepney for your Cebu visit
First, you have to take the yellow multi-cab (similar but smaller that a Jeepney) at the front side of the airport’s Departure Hall until you reach a supermarket called “Save More” on the highway road. It would cost you around 8 pesos and takes around 5 to 10 minutes only.
Then, you can take any Jeepney bound for Cebu City. It would costs you less than 8 pesos only but it takes longer time than taking a taxi. (Reminder: Watch your valuables since there could be pickpockets pretending to be passengers just waiting for their luck on new arrivals. )
Yes, that's how you can visit Cebu province. Of course, you may also take your own private jet, yacht, ship, boat, submarine, or any means possible and legal!
Please, enjoy your visit and safe travel!
