Mindanao Travel Sites... The "Promise Land"

Mindanao is the second largest island among the three major islands of the Philippines – Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Mindanao is almost the size of Ireland, a bit bigger than South Korea. Because of its size and being a tropical island, it has lots of resources – not only natural resources (minerals, etc.) – but also places to see and enjoy with – quiet, natural, untouched, and enchanting places.

White beaches (and brown beaches) in Mindanao also abounds. Since many beaches and secluded areas are untouched by development & over-commericialization, many of them are clean, quiet, cheaper, and available all year round.

Recommended Mindanao Travel Sites...

Although there are many choices and great places worth visiting in Mindanao Islands, not many visitors and other travelers decide to do so. One of the reasons is the ‘safety’ issues especially in areas where there is active conflict between government and revolutionary elements.

Due to that one major and other reasons, rarely visited amazing sites remain ‘underdeveloped’ or untouched by development projects and other business oriented establishments. Only locals run or watch the places, such as the white island beaches, waterfalls, caves, lakes, parks, gardens and nature, historic sites, zoos, museums, among others.

The great thing about visiting those places is that:

  • they are very clean & free from noise
  • they are either very cheap or FREE of charges
Refreshing & cold springs in Mindanao Islands are common and popular places for both locals and foreign visitors' frequent and favorite places.
